Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, Canada’s Niagara Falls illuminated by Indian tri-colour As India celebrated it’s 74th Independence Day on Saturday, some breathtaking visuals of our tri-colour were witnessed in two major cities.
The world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, was lit up with the tricolour to commemorate India’s 74th Independence day.
According to reports, the display happened at 8:45 PM on Saturday night. Along with the famous skyscraper, the Adnoc Tower too lit up with the colours of the Indian flag, highlighting the string relations between UAE and India.
A video of the stunning display was shared on the official handle of Burj Khalifa.
About 11,000 kms away, the iconic Canadian landmark of Niagara falls was illuminated with colours of the India flag.
The illumination was organised by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board and Niagara Parks Commission. “Canada and India have a strong, longstanding, and vibrant relationship built on our shared traditions of democracy and pluralism, and deep cultural and people-to-people ties. The over one million Canadians of Indian heritage have made – and continue to make – many important contributions to our country,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau greeted the Indo-Canadian community on the occasion.
