As workers of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday began demolishing Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika Films office, the actress shared photos from the site and simply captioned it as “Pakistan”.
“I am never wrong and my enemies prove again and again this is why my Mumbai is POK now,”she said while referring to her previous tweet, comparing the city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir, that created a huge stir on and off social media.
In her tweets on Wednesday morning, Kangana compared the civic body to the Mughal Emperor Babur and its workers to his army. “Babur and his army #deathofdemocracy,” she captioned the photos that saw BMC workers at the office premises with sledgehammers in hand.
Actor Rhea Chakraborty was taken to Mumbai’s Byculla Jail this morning, a day after she was arrested on drug charges related to the Sushant Singh Rajput case. She was sent to jail for 14 days during a video hearing by a magistrate who rejected her bail last night.
The 28-year-old is expected to request a sessions court for bail today. She spent the night at the Narcotics Control Bureau office.
The Byculla jail is the only prison for women in Mumbai and currently has high-profile inmates including Sheena Bora murder accused Indrani Mukerjea and activist Sudha Bhardwaj, arrested in the Koregaon-Bhima case.
Rhea Chakraborty has been charged with organizing drugs for her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, a Bollywood star whose shock death on June 14 is being investigated by the CBI. There is no mention in the court papers of her using drugs.
