NEET Result 2020 DECLARED Updates: Odisha student, Shoyeb Aftab, makes history with perfect score of 720

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020. The result includes both September 13 and October 14 attempts. The final answer key was released at by afternoon after which the link had stopped working. Now, the result is available at, instead.

In a unique trend this year, several coaching institutes are declaring their ‘expected’ toppers list while the rank list is yet to be released by the NTA. As per Allen Coaching institutes, their student Soyeb Aftab will top this year’s NEET that too by obtaining full 720 marks. While Aakash institutes claim to have rank 2 who is also the female topper in Aakansha Singh from Uttar Pradesh.

This year, over 14.37 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam on September 13 despite the pandemic. The merit list is yet to be out and will be displayed soon. Every college will release its own cut-off based on which the admission will be granted.

Since last year, top medical colleges AIIMS and JIPMER are also accepting students based on the NEET score. Earlier, they used to have their own entrance test. Every medical college has 15 per cent seats reserved under the All India quota (AIQ) which are filled centrally while the rest are filled by the respective state.

Is Soyeb Aftab the topper?

Will the merit list has not been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), several coaching institutes to have the top-ranking students. Allen Coaching which is a competitive exams training institute based in Kota claims to have Soyeb Aftab. Allen claims that the student has got 720 out of 720. Aftab is an 18-year-old boy from Odisha who was enrolled with the Institute for the past two years. The coaching institutes are declaring the ‘expected’ toppers based on the final merit list.
